Does poverty, Nanny State coddling, or broken families, cause high crime rates in inner-city neighborhoods?

Poverty doesn't cause crime, lack of moral guidance does. I grew up in the bad part of the city and I was never well off. Most of the people that committed crimes were from families that didn't discipline them. So I guess broken families.
