How do you make watery mascara less watery?

I got some natural collection mascara, and its good (dont say get better quality because i think its great and cheap and i dont want to pay more money just because the product has a more well known brand) and its really watery and makes my eyelashes look spidery and stick together. I dont wear alot, only a bit to make my lashes more tidy. How can i thicken the mascara so its not really watery and wet?
