Am i wrong in this situation?

Okay, So me and a couple friends with planning a trip to canada. The whole idea was me and my friend kate's idea, we had planned the whole thing out and found a gorgeous house right near niagara falls. It took about a week to find then we started talking to the owner and we found the price and everything. So today i was talking to her and she said on 4 separate occasions that she didn't want to go anymore because of monetary reasons and parents. I asked her 5 different times if she was being serious and "What do you mean". She responded with "I don't even want to go" each time. So i stopped talking to her cause i was pissed off and i got an email from the guy we were renting the house from. He said if we didn't respond by tonight he was going to offer up our dates for the house. I told him we could not attend seeing as people could not attend. Then when kate started talking to me she got so angry at me because i was supposed to coddle her the whole time and follow her around asking "Are you sure you can't come?" Am i wrong in this situation? I need non-biased opinions on this situation.
