Sculpey Glaze gloss problem?

I was wondering if anyone had the problem of glaze hardening after not being used in a while or w/e this has happened to my friend. Her glaze hardened completely and was still a full bottle. My glaze is thickening right now and is there anything I can do to make it smooth again?
